I'm 42, nearly 43 and have only just started running 15 weeks ago!!!! I was struggling to run 1 minute to start off with and now can run 3k without stopping, although still a very long way to go!! I am very surprised by how I have changed, my weight and my body shape is changing daily and I feel so much fitter and better with myself.
Myself and my mad running partner are running our first 10k in just over a week. I am so proud of how far we have come in 15 weeks, and knowing so many people who have been affected by cancer (both of us included), that keeps us motivated to run of much as the 10k race for life as we can.
My inspiration to keep going, is my mum, we lost her to cancer nearly 3 years ago and this 10k is for her. She was a very gutsy lady and put a massive fight in her 10 year battle, she is why I will complete this first (of many hopefully) 10k's, whether I run the whole thing or walk or even crawl across that finish line, we will do it šš»āāļøšš»āāļøšŖšŖ xx
Comments for 10k madness!!
